About Me

I am so much more than just a victim. I am a mom, friend, colleague, woman, and a survivor of abuse.

“So often survivors have had their experiences denied, trivialized, or distorted. Writing is an important avenue for healing because it gives you the opportunity to define your own reality.” – Ellen Bass

And for this reason, I decided to share my story, my truths, my experiences, my survival.

I have only recently shared my whole truth, with my closest family and friends.
Fear of judgment and people not believing me played a significant role in my silence.
However, the truth is, he said I was crazy. So I believed him.

I had to forgive myself for many things. I had to take responsibility for my part, and admitting this was the hardest.
To heal completely, I had to break the cycle of silence. I had to be vulnerable and share what I had to endure. I had to expose my worst humiliation and make my most painful memories public.
